Based in Skagastrond, north-west Iceland, I began a series of responses to the landscape influenced by the increasing reference to climate instability. It was an opportunity to experiment, research and excavate a new body of work in Iceland’s limitless terrain and it was truly unforgettable! I continued to relate the matrix to ecology, to immerse the feminine within natural settings and attempted to identify a resilience in both.
This residency was the springboard to develop new writings, collage and watercolour.
